On November 10, Climate Bonds Initiative CEO, Sean Kidney, launched the Chinese version of the Bonds and Climate Change: State of the Market in 2015 report at the 3rd China SIF Annual Conference being held in Beijing.
First released in Frankfurt in July 2015, Bonds and Climate Change: State of the Market in 2015 profiles international data and significant global market developments. This new Chinese language version also carries an update on the most recent policy developments in China around green bonds and green finance.
CEO Sean Kidney said:
“The symbolism of this launch of our 2015 report, in Chinese, at this Beijing conference should not be underestimated. Policy makers and regulators in China are closely considering a range of new settings that will stimulate long term investment with positive environmental and climate outcomes.”
“Our 2015 report is the most comprehensive and up to date review of progress on climate-aligned and green bonds that is internationally available. Making that information more accessible in China is a natural step for us.”
“Climate Bonds Initiative has long recognised the role that green bonds can play in China. Producing a Chinese language version of our key 2015 report reflects our commitment to help develop a sustainable green bond market as part of China’s environmental and climate policy development and green finance reforms. “
